The Story

Named after the French city, Lille comes from insula or l'Isla, "the island". This name was used for the castle of the Counts of Flanders, built on dry land in the middle of the marsh. In 1667, Louis XIV of France (the Sun-King) successfully laid siege to Lille, resulting in it becoming French in 1668 and becoming a hot spot during the "Belle-Epoque".

The smart, attractive Le Lille will have everyone’s eyes on you from the moment you step out the door. Whether for business or pleasure, you’ll demand the attention and respect of others where you wear it.

Roll up your sleeves, and have some fun with it or keep them down and fastened for that more down-to-business look.

This shirt is great because it adds just enough flair. Wear it at the office or in a low key casual setting. The color is very versatile. Good with jeans or slacks. (Posted on 10/5/11)
